Punjab police in Amritsar announced the arrest of five individuals, including a minor, as part of a crackdown on illegal drug trafficking.
During the operation, investigators seized nine pistols and approximately 6.311 kilograms of heroin, which are believed to be intended for distribution in the region.
Authorities said the seized weapons and narcotics will be forwarded to forensic laboratories for further analysis, and the accused will face charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and relevant firearms statutes.
