Fire Safety Authority Prepares Statewide Industrial Safety Roadmap

The national fire safety agency has completed a draft roadmap aimed at bolstering industrial fire safety across an Indian state. The document sets out a series of standards for risk assessment, fire‑hazard audits and the installation of modern detection and suppression systems in manufacturing units. It also prescribes regular training programmes for plant personnel and outlines protocols for coordinated emergency response with local fire services. The roadmap proposes a phased implementation over the next three years, with periodic reviews to gauge compliance and effectiveness. State officials are expected to examine the draft in the coming weeks and integrate it into existing industrial policy frameworks.
