Fire Breaks Out in Four Coaches of Karmabhoomi Express Near Patiala

A severe fire erupted in four coaches of the Karmabhoomi Express near Patiala, causing extensive damage and prompting emergency response.
On Tuesday, a blaze broke out in four consecutive coaches of the Karmabhoomi Express as it was approaching Patiala station. The fire quickly spread, engulfing the interiors of the affected coaches and damaging the overhead wiring.
Firefighters from the Patiala Fire Service, along with railway security personnel, arrived on the scene within minutes. They managed to control the flames before the train could reach the station platform, preventing a potential collision with the next scheduled train.
No passengers were reported injured, and the train was diverted to a nearby siding for inspection. Railway officials confirmed that the fire was contained to the coaches and that the rest of the train remained operational.
The Railway Safety Commission has opened an inquiry into the cause of the fire, and the incident has been reported to the local police for further investigation.
