Farmers in Karnataka have taken the step of selling their livestock at the local market as they confront a severe shortage of water and hay.
The market displayed unusually heavy livestock, reflecting the scale of the sales prompted by the scarcity of essential feed and drinking water.
With no water available for the animals, farmers were left with little choice but to move the livestock to market, highlighting the growing challenges faced by the agricultural sector in the region.
