Farmers persist in Jhajua protest over foreland compensation, meet two ministers

The farmer protest in Jhajua, Madhya Pradesh entered its fourth day, with representatives meeting two state ministers who pledged to raise the issue to the Bhopal level and seek a meeting with the chief minister.
Jhajua in Madhya Pradesh saw its farmer protest continue into a fourth consecutive day, as demonstrators demand compensation for foreland areas affected by recent projects. The agitation, organized by a coalition of farmer unions, has drawn attention to perceived delays in promised remuneration.
On the fourth day, a delegation of union leaders met with two state ministers to present their grievances. The ministers listened to the concerns and assured the farmers that the matter would be escalated to the Bhopal administration for further review.
The officials also committed to arranging a direct meeting between the protest leaders and the chief minister, signalling a willingness to address the compensation dispute through higher-level dialogue.
Despite the talks, the protestors maintained their presence around the Jhajua area, signaling that they will continue their demonstration until a satisfactory resolution is reached.
Local authorities have reported that the demonstration remains peaceful, with no major disruptions reported so far.
