A counterfeit transfer order using Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s name on official letterhead was found in Alirajpur, prompting a police probe.

Alirajpur district officials reported that a transfer order, allegedly issued in the name of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, was being circulated on a government‑styled letterhead. The document, later identified as a forgery, claimed to authorize the transfer of a government employee without following standard procedures.

The district police have opened an investigation to trace the source of the fake order and to determine whether any officials were involved in its preparation or distribution. Officers have asked the public to forward any copies of the document and have warned against acting on unverified orders.

Authorities emphasized that authentic government communications bear specific signatures and verification marks, and they urged citizens to verify any such orders directly with the concerned department before taking action. As of now, no arrests have been reported, and the probe remains ongoing.

The incident highlights growing concerns over the misuse of official symbols to facilitate unauthorized transfers, a practice that can disrupt administrative processes and erode public trust in genuine government directives.
