A blast at a firecracker manufacturing unit in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh, has left at least 11 people dead and several injured.
An explosion ripped through a firecracker factory in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh, killing at least 11 workers and wounding a number of others, officials said.
Emergency services, including fire brigades and medical teams, rushed to the site shortly after the blast and began evacuating survivors and transporting the injured to nearby hospitals.
The Uttar Pradesh police have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion, while the state government has announced compensation for the families of the deceased.
Local authorities have also ordered an inspection of other firecracker units in the region to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
