Authorities uncovered a scheme where an endoscopy camera was inserted into sealed exam envelopes and sold to students for ₹11,000, leading to six arrests.

Police investigations revealed a sophisticated paper‑leak operation in which an endoscopy camera was slipped into sealed answer‑sheet envelopes to capture the contents before the exam. The illicit service was marketed to students at a price of ₹11,000 per envelope, promising guaranteed access to the questions.

The scheme came to light after a tip-off prompted a raid on the suspects' premises, where authorities recovered the camera equipment and several tampered envelopes. Forensic analysis confirmed that the device could transmit images in real time, enabling the perpetrators to relay the exam material to buyers.

Six individuals, including the operator of the camera and two middlemen who coordinated sales, were taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing, with officials saying they will trace the network that distributed the leaked papers and pursue additional charges under the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Education officials have warned students that participation in such scams will attract severe legal consequences and have urged schools and universities to tighten security measures around exam materials.

The case highlights growing concerns over the misuse of medical imaging technology for fraudulent purposes and underscores the need for stricter monitoring of exam logistics across the country.
