The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has announced a new shield designed to strengthen the fight against financial crimes. The initiative, unveiled on a national radio broadcast, aims to enhance detection, prevention and enforcement across the country. Finance Minister Pankaj Chaudhary spoke on AIR, emphasizing the importance of robust mechanisms to curb money‑laundering and tax evasion. The shield will incorporate advanced analytics, cross‑agency coordination and stricter penalties for offenders. The move comes as the government seeks to address growing concerns over illicit financial flows and protect the integrity of India’s financial system.
