Electric Buses Launched in Noida‑Greater Noida; Hydrogen Fleet Set for Jewar Airport

New electric buses have been rolled out on the busy corridors linking Noida and Greater Noida, marking a step toward greener public transport in the National Capital Region. The vehicles, supplied by a domestic manufacturer, are expected to replace a portion of diesel‑run buses on these routes, reducing emissions and operating costs.

In a parallel initiative, three hydrogen‑fuelled buses have been earmarked to serve the upcoming Jewar Airport, providing a zero‑emission link between the city and the new aviation hub. The hydrogen fleet will operate on a dedicated schedule once the airport becomes fully operational.

State officials highlighted that the dual rollout underscores Uttar Pradesh's commitment to sustainable mobility and aligns with national goals for clean energy adoption in transport. The buses are slated to begin regular service within the next few weeks, pending final safety clearances.
