Elderly Couple Murdered in Their Home in Bhrpura Patpara, Samastipur, Bihar

The bodies of a 70‑year‑old man identified as Bhangali Das and his 65‑year‑old wife, Dhanma Devi, were found inside their residence in Bhrpura Patpara, a village under the Vibhutipur police station of Samastipur district, Bihar, on Tuesday morning. Neighbours reported hearing a commotion late at night, prompting a local resident to check the house, where the gruesome scene was discovered.
Police arrived at the scene and recovered the couple’s lifeless bodies, both covered in fresh blood, with the husband found on a police outpost (chowki) and the wife lying on the floor inside the house.
Investigators have cordoned off the area and are collecting forensic evidence. No arrests have been made and the motive remains unclear. Authorities have appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the identification of the perpetrators, urging witnesses to come forward promptly.
