Police in Ratlam have detained the eighth suspect in the Rs 7.5 crore gold‑silver jewelry robbery, recovering 502 g of gold and 1.27 kg of silver ornaments.
The Ratlam police announced the arrest of Gaurav Gurjar, identified as the eighth accused in the high‑value robbery that targeted a Sarafa trader's gold and silver jewellery worth approximately Rs 7.5 crore.
During the operation, investigators recovered a cache of stolen ornaments weighing 502 grams in gold and 1.27 kilograms in silver, matching the items reported missing after the heist.
Police said the suspect had been on the run since the robbery and was apprehended after a coordinated chase in the city outskirts. The recovered jewellery has been handed over to the forensic lab for verification before being returned to the victim.
