The Andhra Pradesh government has approved development works at eight key tourist sites, including Gandikota and Borra Caves, to boost facilities and visitor experience.

The state tourism department announced that eight popular destinations in Andhra Pradesh will undergo a series of upgrades aimed at improving infrastructure and visitor amenities. The plan covers sites ranging from the historic gorge of Gandikota to the limestone formations of Borra Caves, along with five other locations that attract both domestic and international tourists.
Key interventions include the renovation of access roads, expansion of parking areas, installation of modern signage, and the development of eco‑friendly sanitation facilities. Authorities also intend to upgrade lighting, safety measures and digital information kiosks to provide a more seamless experience for travelers.
Funding for the project has been earmarked in the state budget, and work is expected to commence in the next quarter. Officials anticipate that the enhancements will increase tourist footfall, generate local employment and contribute to the broader goal of positioning Andhra Pradesh as a premier heritage and nature tourism hub.
