ED raids two Jaisalmer locations in Belgian‑funded Rs 5.1 crore case

The Enforcement Directorate searched premises linked to Deu Ram and associate Gyan Chand after tracing about ₹5.10 crore from Belgium, of which roughly ₹2.60 crore was withdrawn in cash.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at two premises in Jaisalmer that are associated with Deu Ram and his aide Gyan Chand. The raids were part of a probe into alleged foreign funding that originated from Belgium.
Preliminary findings indicate that accounts linked to the two individuals received approximately ₹5.10 crore from Belgium. Of this amount, about ₹2.60 crore is reported to have been withdrawn in cash, raising concerns about the source and usage of the funds.
ED officials confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that the seized documents and financial records will be examined to determine any violations of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act. No arrests have been reported so far.
