The Punjab Rice Millers' Association has reported that the recent implementation of E20 ethanol blending has positively impacted farmers in the state. By allowing 20% ethanol to be mixed with petrol, farmers receive a higher price for their surplus ethanol, improving their income.
The policy also benefits rice millers, who now face lower fuel costs and reduced dependence on diesel. This has eased the financial burden on milling operations, allowing them to invest in better equipment.
