The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti‑Corruption searched 25 locations across Tamil Nadu as part of the ongoing investigation into former minister K.N. Nehru’s alleged Rs 634‑crore recruitment fraud.

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti‑Corruption (DVAC) carried out coordinated searches at 25 sites spread across Tamil Nadu, targeting premises linked to the alleged Rs 634‑crore job scam involving former state minister K.N. Nehru. The operation, conducted under the authority of the central vigilance agency, aimed to collect documentary and electronic evidence related to irregularities in recruitment processes.

Investigators focused on offices, residential properties and companies that were reportedly used to facilitate the alleged fraudulent appointments. While the raids were extensive, the DVAC has not disclosed any arrests or seizures of assets at this stage.

The case, which has attracted national attention, stems from accusations that Nehru, during his tenure, manipulated hiring procedures to benefit private entities in exchange for financial gains. Central agencies continue to probe the matter, emphasizing that the investigation is ongoing and further actions may follow based on the evidence gathered.

Authorities have urged the public and any potential witnesses to cooperate with the inquiry, underscoring the government's commitment to curbing corruption in public recruitment.
