Aswinder Kaur, a Dubai resident, arrived in Satna to locate her husband Sunil Thakur and lodged a complaint at the women’s police station, alleging his family is concealing him.
Satna, Madhya Pradesh – On Monday, Aswinder Kaur, a citizen of Dubai, reached Satna in search of her husband, Sunil Thakur. She approached the women’s police station and filed a formal complaint, stating that Thakur’s family is deliberately keeping him hidden from her.
According to the complainant, she and Thakur have been in a relationship since 2020 and formalised their union with a marriage ceremony in Jabalpur in February 2025. Following the wedding, Thakur returned to his family’s residence, after which Kaur lost contact with him.
Kaur’s filing alleges that members of Thakur’s family are obstructing her attempts to locate him, prompting her to seek police intervention. The police recorded her statement and opened an inquiry to ascertain the husband’s whereabouts.
The case highlights the challenges faced by spouses separated by international borders and underscores the role of local law enforcement in addressing missing‑person complaints within the state.
