A drunken man caused a disturbance on a road in Singhwara, Darbhanga and assaulted a police team that had responded to a 112 call, leaving Sub‑Inspector Dinesh Sharma and four other officers injured.
Police officials from the 112 emergency response unit arrived at Singhwara in Darbhanga district after receiving a call about a disorderly individual under the influence of alcohol. Upon reaching the scene, the youth allegedly turned violent and struck the officers, causing injuries.
Sub‑Inspector Dinesh Sharma was among those hurt, along with four other police personnel. The injured officers were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, while the assailant was detained for further investigation.
