Driver flees after refueling, petrol pump attendant critically injured in Mohali

A petrol pump employee in Mohali suffered broken legs and shoulder after a driver who refueled his vehicle fled the scene, and the victim was rushed to hospital in serious condition.
A driver stopped at a Mohali petrol pump, filled his vehicle with fuel and then drove away without paying. After the vehicle left, the attendant attempted to stop the car, leading to a physical confrontation in which the driver climbed onto the employee's vehicle. The clash resulted in the attendant falling and sustaining severe injuries.
The employee suffered fractures in both legs and a broken shoulder, injuries described as serious by on‑site responders. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where doctors confirmed the extent of the fractures and placed him under critical care.
Local police arrived at the scene, secured the area and began an investigation into the driver’s escape and the assault on the attendant. Authorities are seeking witnesses and reviewing any available CCTV footage to identify the fleeing driver and determine the motive behind the incident.
