The Nagpur Drug Enforcement Agency seized 3.01 kg of amphetamine valued at approximately Rs 2.4 crore and detained two individuals who were traveling on a bus.

The Drug Enforcement Agency (DRI) in Nagpur reported a major drug bust on Tuesday, seizing 3.01 kilograms of amphetamine from a concealed package. The seizure took place during a routine check on a city bus that was plying on a regular route within Nagpur, Maharashtra.

According to the agency, the seized amphetamine is estimated to be worth around Rs 2.4 crore on the open market. Laboratory analysis confirmed the substance as a high‑purity stimulant, commonly trafficked across state borders.

During the operation, DRI officers arrested two male passengers who were found in possession of the drug. Both individuals were taken into custody for further interrogation, and the case has been forwarded to the local magistrate for legal proceedings. The agency highlighted that the bust underscores its ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in central India.
