The management committee of Indore’s Khajrana Ganesh Temple announced a mandatory dress code for devotees and priests entering the sanctum, mirroring rules at the Mahakaleshwar temple.
The governing body of Khajrana Ganesh Temple in Indore has issued a directive that a dress code will be strictly enforced for anyone entering the temple’s inner sanctum. The decision aligns the temple’s entry regulations with those already in place at the nearby Mahakaleshwar shrine.
According to the committee, the new rule requires all worshippers and priests to wear traditional attire as defined by the temple authorities. Specific guidelines will be communicated to the public to ensure compliance.
The move is intended to preserve the sanctity of the garbhagriha and maintain a uniform atmosphere of reverence during puja and abhishek ceremonies. Temple officials said the policy will be implemented immediately and that staff will monitor adherence at the entrance.
The committee also emphasized that the dress code applies equally to men, women, and the serving priests, aiming to create a respectful environment for all participants in the temple’s rituals.
