Doctor Gulzar shot dead at his doorstep in Hasanpur, Samastipur

A rural doctor identified as Gulzar alias Sahin was found dead, shot at his home’s entrance in Hasanpur, Samastipur, with police recovering three pits at the scene.
The body of a village doctor known as Gulzar, also called Sahin, was discovered early morning on the doorstep of his house in Hasanpur, a settlement in Samastipur district, Bihar. According to relatives, he was sleeping at the entrance when gunshots were fired, leaving him dead and his corpse drenched in blood.
Police arrived after the family reported the incident and found the doctor’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood. The forensic team documented the injuries and confirmed that multiple gunshots were the cause of death.
Investigators have seized three shallow pits from the vicinity of the house, suspecting they may be related to the weapon’s discharge or to conceal evidence. The motive behind the killing has not been disclosed, and no arrests have been made so far.
The Samastipur police have appealed to the public for any information that could help identify the shooter(s) and have launched a formal criminal investigation under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
