The Development and Logistics Corporation (DLC) unveiled a package of financial incentives aimed at attracting new manufacturing projects in Ludhiana, Punjab.

Ludhiana, Punjab – The Development and Logistics Corporation (DLC) has introduced a set of financial incentives designed to stimulate industrial investment in the region. The package includes subsidies on capital equipment, reduced land lease rates, and tax rebates for projects that meet specified employment and export targets.

According to a statement released by DLC, the incentives aim to attract both domestic and foreign manufacturers to set up production units in Ludhiana's emerging industrial zones. The corporation expects the measures to generate several thousand jobs over the next three years and to increase the city's contribution to Punjab's overall manufacturing output.

Local business associations welcomed the move, noting that reduced upfront costs could make Ludhiana more competitive compared to other industrial hubs in northern India. DLC officials said the incentive scheme will be reviewed annually to ensure it aligns with the state's economic goals.

The announcement was made during a press conference at DLC's Ludhiana office, where senior officials outlined the eligibility criteria and the application process for interested investors.

Industry analysts predict that, if fully utilized, the incentives could bring in investments worth several hundred crore rupees, further solidifying Ludhiana's reputation as a key manufacturing centre in the region.
