A new direct service linking Indore and Bangkok will start on December 2, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Indore will gain a direct air link to Bangkok from December 2, as the new flight schedule takes effect. The service is slated to run four times a week, specifically on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, offering travelers a convenient option without the need for connecting flights.

The introduction of this route is expected to boost tourism and business exchanges between Madhya Pradesh and Thailand, shortening travel time considerably. Passengers from central India will now be able to reach the Thai capital in a single hop, which could encourage more outbound tourism and facilitate trade delegations.

Airlines have indicated that the schedule will be reviewed periodically based on demand, but the initial plan aims to cater to both leisure and corporate travelers. The new connection also aligns with broader efforts to expand international connectivity from tier‑2 Indian cities.

Local travel agents anticipate a surge in bookings as the flight provides a direct gateway to Southeast Asia, a region that has seen growing interest among Indian tourists. The service complements existing indirect routes, adding flexibility to travel itineraries.

Authorities in Indore have welcomed the development, highlighting its potential to generate economic activity and enhance the city's profile as an emerging aviation hub.
