Police detained a delivery agent after discovering that mobile phones and Apple AirPods ordered online had been stolen and sold on the street without any invoices.
The Economic Times reports that law‑enforcement officials have taken a delivery agent into custody after uncovering a scheme in which newly ordered mobile phones and Apple AirPods were stolen from the supply chain. The stolen items were subsequently offered for sale on the road, with sellers providing no official bills or receipts.
According to the investigation, the delivery agent was identified as the link between the online orders and the street‑level resale. Authorities say the agent exploited the logistics process to divert the products before they reached the legitimate buyers.
Police have seized the stolen devices and are pursuing further leads to determine whether additional personnel were involved. The arrest underscores growing concerns over security lapses in e‑commerce delivery networks.
The case is being handled by local police, and no further details about the number of items or the value of the merchandise have been disclosed at this stage.
