The Delimitation Commission of India announced on December that it will resume the process of redefining constituency boundaries in the northeastern states of Assam, Nagaland, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh. Delimitation involves recalculating the number of seats and redrawing boundaries based on population shifts, thereby maintaining the principle of 'one person, one vote'.
