Delhi to Karnal and Bawal: Two New Namo Bharat Rail Corridors Open

India’s Namo Bharat scheme has added two new rail corridors linking Delhi with Karnal and Bawal in Haryana, boosting connectivity and reducing travel time.
The Ministry of Railways announced the inauguration of two new Namo Bharat rail corridors that directly link Delhi with the Haryana districts of Karnal and Bawal.
The Karnal corridor spans approximately 70 kilometres, while the Bawal line covers around 65 kilometres, both designed to provide faster and more reliable service for commuters and freight.
Officials said the new routes will cut travel time between Delhi and the two districts by up to 30 minutes and are expected to stimulate economic activity in the region.
Construction was completed last year under the Namo Bharat flagship project, which aims to modernise India’s rail infrastructure and improve passenger experience across the country.
