Delhi police have established a comprehensive security perimeter around the BRICS summit venue, with patrols extending from parks to forests, and the police force in the capital's second district remains on high alert.

The BRICS summit, scheduled to take place from 11 to 13 September at the India Mandapam in Delhi, has prompted a sweeping security overhaul across the city. Police units from all eleven districts have been deployed to patrol key areas, including parks and surrounding forested zones, creating a multi-layered protective ring around the venue.

In addition to the perimeter, Delhi Police have intensified surveillance and crowd control measures, with checkpoints set up at major transit points. The operation is coordinated with the Central Reserve Police Force and the Delhi Armed Police to ensure rapid response capabilities.

The police force in Delhi’s second district, which houses several high‑profile diplomatic residences, has been placed on high alert. Officers are conducting routine patrols and monitoring potential threat vectors to pre‑empt any security breaches.

These extensive measures aim to safeguard the summit’s dignitaries, prevent disruptions, and maintain public order during the high‑profile event.
