Clear skies lifted Delhi’s maximum temperature by five degrees Celsius on Tuesday, accompanied by higher humidity.

Clear, uninterrupted sunshine over the national capital on Tuesday pushed the day's peak temperature five degrees Celsius higher than the previous day. Meteorological observations recorded the rise as the city moved from a moderate to a notably warmer range. The increase was accompanied by a perceptible rise in atmospheric humidity, making the day feel more oppressive for residents.

The temperature surge was most pronounced during the late morning and early afternoon hours, when solar radiation peaked. While exact figures for humidity were not released, weather monitors noted that the moisture content in the air rose alongside the heat, intensifying the overall discomfort.

Authorities reminded the public to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and use appropriate cooling measures as the city adjusts to the hotter conditions.
