A demonstration by the CJP in Delhi forced the closure of the Seelampur metro station, leaving commuters waiting for buses stranded.
A protest organized by the CJP took place in Delhi on Saturday, with demonstrators gathering near the Seelampur area. The rally, which was part of a larger citywide movement, led authorities to shut down the Seelampur metro station as a precautionary measure.
The temporary closure disrupted the Red Line service, forcing trains to bypass the station and leaving passengers on the platform unable to board. Many commuters, who had timed their journeys to catch connecting buses, were left waiting without clear information on alternative transport options.
Delhi Metro officials confirmed the suspension and advised travelers to use nearby bus routes or other metro stations until normal service resumes. Police presence was increased around the protest site to manage crowd movement and ensure safety.
As of the latest update, the metro service remains halted at Seelampur, with officials monitoring the situation and planning to reopen the station once the protest disperses and safety can be assured.
