Delhi Proposes Rs 76,160 Monthly Pay for Guest Teachers

Guest teachers in Delhi schools have long been paid on a contractual basis, with salaries below the standard pay scale for permanent teachers. The Education Department’s proposal would set a new monthly rate of ₹76,160 for these educators, up from the current figure of approximately ₹55,000. The increase is aimed at improving retention and attracting qualified teachers to the city’s schools. The proposal is currently under review by the municipal council and is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
