Delhi police have arrested a man who had evaded capture for 26 years, after fingerprint evidence linked him to the crime.

Delhi police arrested a suspect who had remained at large for 26 years after forensic analysis linked his fingerprints to the crime.

The investigation, led by the Delhi Police Crime Branch, utilized advanced fingerprint matching technology to identify the suspect.

The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in a long‑running case that had eluded law enforcement for nearly a quarter of a century.

Police officials confirmed that the suspect will be charged under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and will face trial in a Delhi court.
