Delhi police have deployed multiple teams at Connaught Place in anticipation of a protest by the INDIA bloc.
Delhi police have stationed several teams at Connaught Place to maintain order during the upcoming protest by the INDIA bloc. The deployment includes traffic control units and crowd management teams positioned at key entry points of the area.
The police action follows the announcement that the INDIA bloc will hold a lunch‑time protest against the Election Commission of India. Authorities are preparing to manage the expected influx of demonstrators and to ensure the safety of commuters.
Security personnel will monitor the main thoroughfares and coordinate with local traffic police to divert vehicles away from the protest route. The police have also set up temporary barricades and are ready to respond to any incidents.
A spokesperson for the Delhi Police said the deployment was a routine precautionary measure to keep public spaces safe during large gatherings. The police remain vigilant and will continue to monitor the situation as the protest unfolds.
