Delhi Police announced a comprehensive security plan for the forthcoming BRICS summit, scheduled to be held in the capital. A total of 15,000 police personnel will be deployed across key venues, checkpoints and transit routes to ensure smooth movement of delegates and visitors.
In addition to the police contingent, 200 companies of paramilitary forces will remain on standby, ready to respond to any emergency or threat. The deployment will involve coordination with the Delhi Police’s Special Protection Group, the Central Reserve Police Force and the National Security Guard.
The security blueprint also includes the use of advanced surveillance systems, crowd‑control measures and rapid response teams. Officials said the plan is designed to address both routine security needs and potential high‑risk scenarios.
Delhi Police has emphasized that the large deployment reflects the importance of the summit and the need to maintain a secure environment for international leaders and dignitaries.
