Delhi Police Arrest Key Operative in Rs 30 Lakh Cyber Fraud with Crypto and Foreign Links

The Delhi Police Cyber Cell announced the arrest of a key handler suspected of orchestrating a cyber fraud that siphoned approximately Rs 30 lakh from victims across the capital. The suspect was taken into custody after a coordinated operation that involved digital forensics and surveillance.

Investigators said the fraud scheme leveraged cryptocurrency wallets to move the stolen funds, making the trail harder to trace. Preliminary analysis of blockchain data indicated multiple transactions that converted the illicit money into digital assets before attempting to cash out.

Further probing revealed that the operation had connections with individuals or groups based outside India, suggesting a cross‑border network facilitating the scam. The police have filed a charge sheet and are continuing to track the foreign links to prevent similar incidents.
