The Delhi‑NCR administration has activated a new GRAP scheme that ties higher parking charges to the region’s worsening air‑quality index.
The Delhi‑NCR authorities have launched the Green Rating for Air Pollution (GRAP) system, effective from today, linking parking tariffs to real‑time AQI readings.
Under the scheme, parking operators are required to increase rates when the AQI crosses predefined thresholds. The move aims to discourage private vehicle use during high‑pollution periods and encourage public transport.
