Delhi-NCR Sees Relief from Heat as Rain, Thunderstorms Bring Cooler Temperatures

Delhi-NCR residents awoke to cooler temperatures on Thursday morning following a spell of rain and thunderstorms that swept through the region late Wednesday night. The downpour brought much-needed relief from the intense heat that had been plaguing the area for several days.     The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted thunderstorms and light to moderate rainfall for the region, and the forecast proved accurate. The rain and thunderstorms helped to lower the mercury, providing a respite from the sweltering conditions.
