The Delhi government has ordered hybrid (online‑offline) classes for students up to Class 5 following the activation of GRAP Stage III due to deteriorating air quality.
Delhi's education department issued a directive that schools will conduct hybrid classes for pupils up to Class 5 as air‑pollution levels cross the threshold for Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) Stage III. The decision aims to protect young children from hazardous particulate matter while maintaining continuity of learning.
Under the hybrid model, teachers will split instruction between on‑site sessions and online platforms, allowing students to stay at home when the air quality remains poor. Schools are instructed to follow the GRAP guidelines, which trigger stricter measures as PM2.5 concentrations rise.
Officials emphasized that the arrangement is temporary and will be reviewed daily. Normal classroom operations will resume once the pollution levels fall below the Stage III limit, and parents are advised to stay updated through school communications.
