Delhi LG Issues Ultimatum on Student Safety, ACP‑SHO to Hold Direct Talks with Students

Following a recent incident involving students in Delhi, the Lieutenant Governor issued an ultimatum demanding immediate and stringent actions to improve student safety across the capital. The directive calls on educational institutions, local authorities and law‑enforcement agencies to review and tighten security protocols, increase monitoring, and ensure rapid response to any threats. In response, the Assistant Commissioner of Police – Station House Officer has been tasked with holding a direct dialogue with students to understand their concerns and convey the steps being taken. The meeting aims to foster transparent communication, gather feedback, and reassure the student community that their safety is a top priority for the administration. Officials said the engagement will be scheduled shortly, with a view to implementing the LG’s orders without delay.
