Delhi: Jantar Mantar Protest Cases

The Delhi Police has clarified that it will only withdraw cases filed by the police or the state in relation to the Jantar Mantar protest. The protest, which lasted for 36 days, saw multiple FIRs being filed. However, cases filed based on private complaints will continue to be pursued. This decision comes after the protest and the subsequent march to the parliament on July 20. The police have made it clear that they will only initiate the process of withdrawing government filed FIRs.
