The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the National Capital Region, citing the likelihood of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and gusty winds on 12 and 13 June.
The alert warns that showers could be intense and that strong gusts may reach speeds of up to 70 km/h in some parts of the city.
Residents are advised to stay indoors, secure loose outdoor items and avoid travel on roads prone to flooding.
The IMD has urged local authorities to prepare for possible waterlogging and to keep emergency services on standby.
