Delhi High Court appoints Ritesh Singh as new Registrar General, succeeds Arun Bhardwaj

The Delhi High Court announced today that Ritesh Singh, a senior officer of the Delhi Higher Judicial Service, has been appointed as its Registrar General. He will assume the role immediately, succeeding Arun Bhardwaj, who previously held the post.

Singh is currently serving as Principal Secretary in the Delhi Government's Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs. His extensive experience in the judicial administration and his recent tenure in the state’s law department are cited as key factors behind his selection.

The Registrar General oversees the court's administrative machinery, including case management, record keeping, and liaison with various government agencies. The appointment is expected to ensure continuity in the court’s operations and support ongoing reforms aimed at expediting justice delivery.

The High Court’s order formalises the transfer, and Singh is slated to take charge on the same day, marking a seamless transition in the court’s senior administrative hierarchy.
