Delhi authorities have announced a comprehensive plan to ease traffic congestion by upgrading 12 key junctions, diverting 20% of traffic, and improving six Metro stations.
Delhi’s traffic management department has unveiled a multi‑phase strategy aimed at reducing congestion in the capital’s busiest corridors. The plan includes the upgrade of 12 major junctions across the city, which are expected to streamline vehicular flow and reduce bottlenecks.
In addition to the junction improvements, authorities will divert 20% of the current traffic load away from the most congested routes. This diversion is intended to distribute vehicles more evenly across the network and ease pressure on key arteries.
Six Metro stations are also slated for upgrades, featuring better crowd management systems, enhanced safety measures, and improved passenger amenities. The combined effort is projected to provide a noticeable lift in daily commute times for Delhi residents.
