India’s Defence Minister Kiren Rijiju dismissed Chinese assertions of new occupation in Arunachal Pradesh, stating that while local concerns are valid, there has been no recent incursion.
At a press briefing in New Delhi, Defence Minister Kiren Rijiju addressed reports of Chinese activity along the Arunachal Pradesh frontier. He acknowledged that local residents have legitimate concerns about security but clarified that India has not seen any new occupation by Chinese forces in the region.
Rijiju rejected the Chinese government’s claims that it had established a new presence in Arunachal, reiterating India’s stance that the area remains under Indian sovereignty. He urged the Indian public to remain calm and assured that the Ministry is closely monitoring the situation.
