A dead lizard was discovered in the mid‑day meal served at a primary school in Sahabganj, Muzaffarpur, prompting the suspension of food service and the hospitalization of 71 children.
When the mid‑day meal was being served at a primary school in Sahabganj block of Muzaffarpur, a dead lizard was found mixed in the food. The discovery caused immediate panic among students and parents, and the school halted further distribution of the meal.
Out of the 97 pupils enrolled in the class, 71 were present that day. All 71 children were taken to nearby hospitals for medical observation as a precautionary measure.
