DDLJ Returns to Hyderabad Single Screens After Two Decades

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, released in 1995, has been screened in Hyderabad’s single‑screen theatres for the first time in twenty years. The film’s return has been announced by the city’s cinema operators, who say the nostalgic hit will play at several historic venues across the metropolis. The decision follows a growing trend of reviving classic Bollywood titles in single‑screen theatres, which have struggled to compete with multiplexes. Early reports indicate that the film has already attracted a large crowd, with tickets selling out within hours of the first show. Film enthusiasts are praising the move as a celebration of Indian cinema’s golden era.
