The Delhi District Cricket Association has formally requested the BCCI to move the upcoming India‑Sri Lanka one‑day international from Delhi, citing venue‑related concerns.
The Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) has lodged a formal appeal with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to relocate the India‑Sri Lanka one‑day international that was slated to be played in Delhi. The request was submitted after the DDCA raised concerns over the suitability of the scheduled venue.
The match, originally set for the Arun Jaitley Stadium, is part of the bilateral series between the two sides. DDCA officials pointed to ground‑maintenance issues and logistical challenges that could affect player safety and spectator experience, urging the board to consider an alternative venue.
The BCCI has acknowledged receipt of the appeal and said it will review the matter promptly. If the venue is changed, the board will identify a suitable replacement city and inform fans and broadcasters of the revised schedule.
