Cyclonic Storm Ravages Muzaffarpur: Roofs Torn, Trees Uprooted, Several Injured

A cyclonic vortex hit Kudhni in Muzaffarpur on Saturday evening, tearing off roofs, uprooting trees and injuring three to four people while disrupting electricity supply.
A cyclonic vortex swept through the Kudhni area of Muzaffarpur on Saturday evening, leaving a trail of destruction across several neighborhoods. In the Balra Kishun locality, more than a dozen mango trees were ripped out of the ground, damaging nearby houses and streets.
In the nearby Kharouna locality, falling trees struck residents, resulting in injuries to three to four people who were rushed to local medical facilities. Emergency services responded promptly, but the extent of structural damage forced many families to seek temporary shelter.
The storm also knocked down power lines, causing a widespread electricity outage that authorities are working to restore. Local officials have warned residents to stay indoors until the weather stabilises and to avoid downed wires.
No fatalities have been reported so far, but the district administration has mobilised relief teams to assess damage and provide assistance to affected households.
