Cyclonic Storm Murasu is losing strength over Madhya Pradesh, with meteorological authorities predicting clear skies by tomorrow.

Cyclonic Storm Murasu, which has been affecting large parts of central India, is now showing signs of weakening as it moves over Madhya Pradesh. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) reported a gradual drop in wind speeds and a rise in atmospheric pressure across the state. While heavy rainfall and strong winds have already caused localized flooding and damage to crops, the intensity of the storm is expected to subside in the coming hours.

IMD officials have issued a forecast that clear skies should return by tomorrow morning, with temperatures stabilizing around 30°C. Residents in vulnerable districts are advised to secure loose structures, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay updated through local radio and the department’s mobile alerts.

The weakening of Murasu comes after a series of advisories that warned of potential landslides and river overflow in the hilly terrains of the state. Local authorities have set up emergency response teams and are monitoring river levels closely.

Meteorologists note that while the immediate threat is diminishing, the residual moisture from the storm may still bring scattered showers later in the week, urging citizens to remain cautious.
