Cyber Crime Reports Down

The government has reported a significant decrease in cyber crime reports, from 1.2 lakh in 2024 to 16,377 currently. The Supreme Court has taken note of this reduction and urged authorities to take prompt action against cyber fraudsters. The court has directed authorities to expedite decisions on a 'kill switch' for phones, which will help in curbing cyber crimes. Additionally, banks have been instructed to put on hold any monies transferred to mule accounts, and victims will receive recovered amounts expeditiously after investigations conclude.
